Merge Town was the second game I worked on after joining Gram Games. Released in 2017, Merge Town was an instant success. I was one of two developers, and as Senior helped lead the technical direction of the title through to soft launch.

VEGA Conflict

In 2012 Kixeye, a San Francisco based developer of hit games Battle Pirates and War Commander, wanted to expand into the talent rich game development scene of Brisbane, Australia. As a Senior Developer I had the pleasure of being able to work with some of the most talented people in my career. Initially, I worked with one other on the real-time, synchronous combat systems to deliver our soft launch MVP in a 13 month timeframe.

Later, I moved into a Lead position where I helped bootstrap our efforts to port VEGA Conflict to mobile platforms (iOS and Android) via the Unity toolset.

SoulStone

SoulStone was my first project at Gram Games and a big learning experience on how to approach an already established project. Our team was charged with shipping the game within 2 months of our arrival.
We succeeded in this goal, bringing a polished, fun gaming experience to the iOS platform via Unity.

Ninja Raft

In 2014 I was brought on to help ship an independent project known as Ninja Raft. Originally the brain child of two clever independent developers, it was funded through the accelerator known as Right Pedal Studios.
My tasks involved creating a continuous integration system, graphics and performance optimization, gameplay programming and general project management.

Zompocalypse

Back in 2008 I was beset with the urge to “Go Indie” and develop my own games. With a lot of gumption and naïveté I jumped headfirst into developing my own game. Back then, zombies were still all the rage, so it was a zombie game that we made.

Heroes Call

In 2011 I was brought on as an independent contractor for Defiant Development where I eventually found myself lucky enough to work on Heroes Call, a Diablo-esque game for mobile devices. My role was working on state management, combat systems, quests, input and effects integration.
